New Year's Eve Inferno

DiscoInfernoNewYears2005.jpg

Hell's 3rd Annual New Year's Eve Dance Party kicks off at 8pm this Saturday night. Free admission, free champagne, free love! Get there fairly early-ish (by 9:30?) if you want to guarantee yourself a spot inside....'cause as Papa D says, the parking lot in front of Bub O'Malley's is really no place to be when the clock strikes midnight!

Speaking of midnight, Stanley and I have been doing some strategizing about what song should be crowned "jam of the year" and awarded that extra-special 12:01 AM timeslot. The two of us are pretty much in agreeance that "Stay Fly" smokes most everything else that came out in 2005. And yet I haven't managed to convince myself that a majority of Saturday night's crowd would prefer Three 6 Mafia to completely solid crossover jamz like "1 Thing", "Hollaback Girl", "Hate It Or Love It", "Gold Digger", "Lose Control", etc.

If you show up to Hell before 10:30 pm on Saturday night, you may actually get an Academy-like ballot allowing you to vote for the midnight "Jam of the Year". The rest of you are welcome to shoot me an email or leave a comment if you feel like expressing your opinion about this crucial end-of-the-year matter!
